Why e-Learning?
e-Learning allows anyone to learn anything, anywhere, anytime using the internet to deliver content electronically using the latest technology to enhance the learning experience.
The benefits of e-Learning are numerous. Studies have shown that e-Learning using multimedia technologies, provides:
- increased retention rates of 30% over traditional training methods.
- a reduction in training time
- a reduction in training costs
A student learning in a self-paced environment will dramatically reduce the actual training time by up to 40%. This means your employees learn faster, with better retention, thereby saving you money. Companies have found that multimedia-based e-Learning reduces the cost per trainee by as much as 90%. These cost savings are the result of reduced downtime, decentralized training and increased employee performance.
A scalable solution for your training needs, the WISE platform combines standards-based training programs with the power of the Internet and multimedia technologies to educate your employees and students.
Based upon Flash and XML technology, WISE courses utilize Flash to provide robust multimedia, such as audio, video, as well as 2- and 3-D animations, while the XML component allows for complete content customization. Additionally, WISE courses incorporate interactive media such as circle graphs, quizzes, assessment tests, and graphs in a variety of formats to keep your audience actively engaged and participating in a course.
These powerful tools create a training program that increases content retention and enhances the learning process of Reading, Hearing, Watching, and Doing.
WISE allows for rapid deployment of content in multiple languages with low bandwidth requirements.
The WISE training curriculum is built upon a proven learning methodology based on Dr. Benjamin Bloom’s Taxonomy of Learning™. With this practice, we ensure that our educational solutions emerge from sound objectives that truly meet learning needs. We believe that on-line learning best addresses Bloom’s Knowledge, Comprehension and Application learning levels. This translates into “high impact” orientation and conceptual learning modules. The proposed solution is currently, both, SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 compliant, as well as AICC compliant, and will work with any SCORM- or AICC-compliant Learning Management System (LMS). Optionally, the SCORM 2004 courses can be configured to run in “Sequencing mode”, which dictates the order of the lessons.
